Residents of Wetherton stand stunned today at the outright destruction of the nearby village of Speyforth. Signal fires were lit early yesterday evening when the attack is assumed to have begun however when troops arrived they found the village completely destroyed, ransacked and razed to the ground.
The sergeant of the troops on the scene reported that although signal fires had been lit, only two of them had been lit out of a possible four. It is suspected that whatever hit the village entered and destroyed it in only a few minutes. Two of the attackers were killed in the fighting and bore tattoos marking them as the "Guild of Eborshire", a force not seen in these lands for over 10 years.
A count of bodies compared to registers of the local population suggest that there are three survivors who are as yet unaccounted for.
We pray that Kharach finds all the victims the rest they deserve.

Guild of Eboshire...
Why does that sound familiar?

With the threat of the Guild of Eborshire recently increasing the Baronet of Knavesbury has agreed to talks aimed at militia co-operation between Knavesmire and Wethertown.
Talks will take place this weekend in a secret location in Wethertown and security is likely to be high.
Travellers are reminded that impeding the progress of the diplomatic party from Knavesbury will be treated as Interfering With the Law and warrants will be issued.

Following the assassination of Ambassador Domar at the hands of the Guild of Eborshire security is being stepped up in and around Wethertown. Armed and equipped gate and road patrols will be in force throughout the district.
All alchemists, enchanters and blacksmiths are to register with the town council on arrival into Wethertown until further notice.
In light of the assassination the town of Knavesbury has severed all diplomatic and trade ties with the town of Wethertown.
More as stories develop

Diplomatic tensions have now completely broken down between the territories of Wethertown and Knavesbury following the assassination of Ambassador Domar over a month ago. Trade delegates have been exiled from both sides and a sizeable build up of Knavesbury forces has been noted at all gateways between Knavesbury and Wethertown.
The four territories of the north have always held a tense rivalry but now we are seeing a build up towards a seemingly inevitable land war in the north the likes of which has not been seen since the fall of Mayor Calder some 15 years ago.
More developments as they develop.

In a bid to stave off an all out land war in his territory the Baronet of Wetherton has agreed to Knavesbury's demand that the magical item trade be suspended in the Wetherton area and that all owners, traders and producers of magical items be removed from the territory or detained.
The following notice has been issued by the Wetherton Militia to those within the territory:
Bounty of 75/- now posted for one Sergeant Franklin Heworth of the Iron Eagles. Subject to be considered without legal protection within boundaries of Wetherton.
