Name: Berem Darklance

Guild / Church association: Master Mage Demonologist, Judge of Norham Province

Character Overview

Berem is a servant of this plane- Demonologist, Mage, Judge, Scholar and occasional diplomat. He has established a reputation for attempting things no other Demonologist will do (usually because they know better) and at the Summer Moot in 1006 succeeded in bringing the head of one of the Demonic Families to this Plane, along with a range of smaller demons in his entourage to personally castigate him and take him to Sharda to “learn his lesson”. Is currently considered by the Primate of Vleybor to be a more eligible husband for Molly Day than Alric Edwinson (Master Enchanter)… even though Berem has no interest in Molly Day. Spent most of the Battle at Sintel Fest 06 in a Circle of Protection, or holding the big cursed item so that Primate Terryle of Vleybor could destroy it.

Brief History

Born in the village of Longsaddle, to the local land owning and mage family of Darklance. Berem was always destined to be a mage. Forsaking his father’s suggestions, but to his mother’s pleasure he eventually joined the School of Demonology after serving as apprentice to The Keeper of the Seven Secrets. His early adventures put him in contact with the local dark elf clans of Meanwood, which eventually brought him to propose a peace treaty to the local Earl as a long term solution to the problems that have brought strife to the area for years. Despite the murderous intent of members of the Guild of Alchemists and the assassination of the Dark Elf Ambassador, the treaty was signed following the invocation of dark elf cultural rites of forgiveness and sacrifice. Despite the sacrifices made by Berem Darklance the Treaty only lasted until Harvesting 06, a matter of just seven months before the Dark Elves declared they would have no part with the treaty any more, and burned their copy.
